Here is how to configure a Custom Email Domain:
By default, reservation-related emails are sent from mail@tripla.jp. However, with this feature enabled, you can send emails using your property’s own domain (email address).
Note: Only one email address can be set per brand.
To begin setup, go to the Brand Management screen and open [Administrator Settings].
Click Settings in the Custom Email Domain section under General Settings.
When you click the Custom Email Domain Settings section, a screen like the one below will appear.
Enter the email address you wish to use, then generate the SPF record.
You will need to use the generated SPF code to configure your DNS settings.
Note:
As of February 1, 2024, Gmail has updated its email sender guidelines.
If SPF is already set, there should be no issues, but as a precaution, we recommend also adding the following DMARC DNS record:
Type: TXT
Subdomain: _dmarc
Value: v=DMARC1; p=none;
For setup instructions, please consult the person or team managing your email server.
After you have generated the SPF code and completed the DNS settings, click [Send Test Email] to verify the configuration.
After sending the test email and confirming it has been received, please click the verification link included in the email within 48 hours.
The email will be sent as follows:
From: The email address using your configured domain
To: The same configured email address
Please refer to the sample email content below for guidance.
When you click the link in the email, the [Custom Email Domain] setting in the management screen will automatically be switched to ON.
Once all settings are completed, emails sent from your domain will appear as shown in the image below.
By turning off the setting, you can revert to the default tripla email address (mail@tripla.jp).
If you wish to change the custom email address, please first disable the current setting, then configure it again with the new address.
