Info
You can set discounts and promotions such as coupons applicable at the time of hotel reservation.
By configuring member-specific promotions (member pricing) under “Regular Promotions,” you can visually highlight the benefits of becoming a member.
Setting up advance payment promotions can help increase the proportion of prepayments rather than on-site payments.
By setting up “Coupon Codes,” you can distribute coupons via newsletters and various social media channels to drive hotel reservations.

Location for Settings

Brand Management Screen → Promotions


Click “+ New Promotion.”




An alert will be displayed to request your agreement to the Act against Unjustifiable Premiums and Misleading Representations and regulations regarding double pricing (once every two weeks).

  • New promotions can only be added if you select [Agree].

  • If you select [Disagree], you will be redirected back to the promotions list page.



You can toggle promotions ON or OFF.
Promotion Name

Enter the name of the promotion you want to set. The promotion name will be displayed above the price.
You cannot create multiple promotions with the same name. Please use a unique promotion name for each.



Promotion Type

Warning
There are three types of promotions. Once saved, the promotion type cannot be changed later.

Regular Promotion
Select this option if you want to apply a discount directly to the plan price.
Member prices use this “Regular Promotion.”
Only one “Regular Promotion” with the lowest price will be applied at a time, but it can be combined with a “Coupon Code.”

Payment Promotion

This promotion applies to reservations made with credit card prepayment.
Note: Only one “Payment Promotion” can be created per brand. It cannot be set individually for each property.

It can be applied simultaneously with “Regular Promotions” and “Coupon Codes.”
When combined, it will be displayed as shown.




Coupon Code

This type applies a discount when a coupon code is entered. It can be used in newsletters, social media, and other promotions.
For details, please also refer to the section at the bottom of this page titled “Settings for Coupon Codes.”
Only one coupon code can be applied at a time, but it can be combined with a “Regular Promotion.”
When combined, it will be displayed as shown.

On the customer information input screen, entering a coupon code and pressing "Apply" will apply the discount.


Coupon codes can be either custom words of your choice or randomly generated.
Note: Only alphanumeric characters are allowed.


How to Apply Coupons
Manually enter the coupon code: By entering the set coupon code on the “Customer Information Input Screen,” a discount will be applied to the plan price.

Default Coupon Application:You can set a coupon to be automatically applied and display the discounted price on the search results screen.
Only one default coupon promotion can be applied per brand.

Note: This is useful for cases like nationwide travel campaigns or coupons valid for only one day (e.g., opening celebrations).


Only one coupon set with “Apply coupon by default” will be displayed on the search screen. The promotion with the lowest price will be applied.

Rounding Down Discount

If you wish to use this setting, please contact your sales representative.
When creating a promotion, you can set rounding down for fractional amounts on the price.
You can specify how much to round down per room per night.
*Note: For multiple room bookings, rounding is calculated for each room individually.*
If multiple rounding discount promotions are active for the same property, the one with the highest discount rate will be applied.

Example: If rounding down is set to units below 50 yen per room
For a room rate of 14,077 yen, 27 yen will be rounded down, making the final rate 14,050 yen.
Notes
In TL Lincoln, only for “Regular Promotions,” the promotion name is not displayed; instead, the number of adults and children is shown.
*This is displayed as shown in the image below.


Promotion Eligibility Conditions

You can set the target users, membership programs, and applicable periods for the promotion.

Membership Program










Membership Rank
Target Users (Required)
Select the target audience for the promotion from the dropdown menu.
Choosing “All Users” will apply the promotion even to non-members who are not logged in.
Other options display membership programs that are currently active and registered.

When you select a membership program, the [Member Rank Conditions] section will appear, allowing you to choose applicable ranks.

Applicable Sales Period (Optional)
This is the period during which reservations can be made using the promotion.
If there are no restrictions, you can leave this field blank.


Applicable Stay Period (Optional)
This is the period during which stays can be made using the promotion. The promotion applies only if the customer’s reservation start date (check-in) and end date (check-out) fall within this period.
If there are no restrictions, you can leave this field blank.
Excluded Dates (Optional)
This becomes available when both the applicable sales period and stay period are entered.
It specifies the exclusion period during which the promotion does not apply.
If there are no restrictions, you can leave this field blank.

Start Date: Based on checkout date

End Date: Based on check-in date

Example: To exclude the period from December 30 to January 3, set the start date as 2025-12-31 and the end date as 2026-01-03.

About Tax Amount

The promotion discount amount is applied inclusive of tax.


Notes
New promotions are set to “Tax Included” by default.

Promotion Details

Select the billing plan to apply the promotion to, and set the discount amount or discount rate.
“Regular Promotions” can be applied to both room-based billing plans and per-person billing plans (applied according to the billing type set for the plan).
You can also configure it for only one of these billing types.

It is also possible to set the promotion to 100% OFF (effectively free).
*Note: Reservations with 100% OFF (effectively free) cannot be made with advance payment, so please be aware of this limitation.*

Maximum Discount Amount per Reserved Room

When “%” is selected for a room-based billing plan, you can set the maximum discount amount per reserved room.
You can specify the maximum discount limit.


Applicable Plans

You can select the plans to which the promotion applies.

All Plans

The promotion can be applied to all existing plans as well as any plans created in the future.
This option is convenient when you do not want to set restrictions for individual plans.

Plan Selection
A list of plans will be displayed, allowing you to select specific plans to which the promotion will apply.
Note: Up to 30 plans are displayed per page.

Select Plans to Exclude
By selecting plans to exclude and saving, the promotion will be applied to all plans except those selected.

Settings for Coupon Codes

Maximum Discount Budget Limit (Coupon Codes Only)

For coupon codes, you can set an upper limit to prevent coupon use once the set budget is exceeded.
Note: The budget is set as a tax-included amount.
Notes
To prevent budget overruns, the total expenditure amount includes calculations from the moment the reservation process starts.
Therefore, comparing with CSV downloads from the reservation list may sometimes show discrepancies.

Usage Limit per Customer (Coupon Codes Only)

For coupon codes, you can set a limit so that once a customer exceeds the specified usage count, they can no longer use the coupon.
If the customer is registered as a member, usage is tracked per account.
For non-registered customers, usage is tracked per email address.

Note: If “Apply coupon by default” is selected as the coupon application method, this usage limit can be set in the current management screen but will not actually be enforced.

Cancellation Fee Calculation Method (Coupon Codes Only)

You can set how cancellation fees are calculated: either from the regular price before applying the promotion or from the discounted price after the promotion.

Note:
If cancellation fees are calculated from the pre-promotion price, the fee is based on the original accommodation price, not the price displayed at the time of booking.

If the cancellation fee exceeds the payment amount, the card payment amount will increase, which may cause a payment error.
In the event of a payment error due to this increase, the property is responsible for handling the situation.

Copying Promotions



You can also copy (duplicate) promotions. After saving a created promotion, a “Copy” button will appear.
Copied promotions will have “-copied” added to the name label.

Notes
Coupon and secret promotion codes cannot be duplicated, so new codes are randomly generated.


Important Notes:

  1. The maximum discount amount per reserved room is based on the tax-included price and applies as a per-person, per-stay limit.
  2. The maximum discount limit per reserved room applies to all guests, including children.
  3. Discounts from promotions do not apply to optional sales.
  4. Discounts from “Regular Promotions” can be combined with additional discounts from “Coupon Codes.”(Example) If a 10% discount is applied as a “Regular Promotion,” an additional discount via a “Coupon Code” can be applied on top of the discounted price.
  5. The coupon code input field appears on the customer input screen only when a valid coupon code promotion exists.
  6. Once a promotion is set as a “Regular Promotion,” it cannot be changed later to a “Coupon Code.”
  7. Customers can combine “Regular Promotion” and “Coupon Code” promotions, but cannot combine multiple “Regular Promotions” or multiple “Coupon Code” promotions.
  8. Deleting created promotions is not possible.
