Info

This feature allows you to add extra items, such as custom dishes or cakes, to plans as extras for additional sales.

This manual covers only Standard oprional extras. For details on Inclusive Extra (embedded in plans), please refer to this manual.

Warning
*Supported only by TL-Lincoln, Temairazu, Neppan, and Raku-2.
*Facilities using other site controllers will not see this feature in their management screens.

Site Controller-Specific Restrictions

Extras are available for facilities not using site controllers or for those using TL-Lincoln, Temairazu, Neppan, or Raku-2. Facilities using other site controllers will not have this feature displayed on their management screens.

You need to set up the extras in TL-Lincoln and import them into the management screen.
*Extras scheduled for more than four months ahead cannot currently be sold.
*When sending data to TL-Lincoln, the extras name is transmitted along with usage time, questions and answers, and notes. (Content exceeding 100 characters will be truncated.)
*Extras cannot be deleted when using TL-Lincoln.
*Even if the extras are deleted in TL-Lincoln, they will still remain in the tripla management screen.
Temairazu
Sell extras: Available
Set up the extras in the tripla management screen.
*Sold extras will be linked to the "24 Notes" field in Temairazu.
Neppan
Sell extras: Available
The additional questions, their answers, and the extras name will be sent together.
・Usage time cannot be transmitted.
・Extras cannot be used on the checkout day when using Neppan.
(Extras fees are included in the total amount. This may cause errors in the PMS. Therefore, extras with fees cannot be used on the checkout day.)

Raku-2
Sell extras: Available
Set up the extras in the tripla management screen.
・Questions and answers, as well as the extras name, will be sent together.
・Usage time cannot be transmitted.
Other site controllers
Sell extras: Not available
This feature will not be displayed in the tripla management screen.


Set up extras in the admin panel

  1. Click + Add extras to create a new extra.

  • Toggle the Enable button at the top of the extra creation screen to activate the extra for sales.


General Settings

  • Extra Type: Default is "User-specfied count."
  • Selecting "Users specify the number of kids by the following tiers and select meal as extras." in "Search and reservation for kids" in "Kids settings" allows you to sell children's meals as extras.

Sales Types

  • Optional Extra (Selectable during reservation): Customers can add these options while entering their details during the reservation process.
  • Inclusive extra (Embedded in plans): These options are included in the plan from the beginning. For details, please refer to this manual.

Extra name and Description

Enter the Extra name and description.

Sales Unit

Define the unit for sales, e.g., "piece," "person," or "hour."

Food: Plates, servings, pieces, pots, sets, or whole items
Examples: Fruit platter (〇 plate), Japanese sake tasting set (〇 set), anniversary cake (〇 whole or 〇 piece), crab pot rice (〇 pot), etc.

Services: People, sessions, hours, bundles, bottles, or rooms
Examples: Late check-out (〇 hours), spa or head massage (〇 person), anniversary bouquet (〇 bundle), full bottle of sparkling wine (〇 bottle), etc.

Warning
*Currently, only one image can be registered for an Extra.


Price Type

The "Adult Price Ratio" can be used for setting the price of children's meals in only one instance.
It is used when selecting children's meals or bedding as extras.
When the adult price ratio is selected, you can set the extras price as a percentage of the adult room rate.
For more details, please refer to the "Selling Children's Meals" section at the bottom of this page.

By entering a fixed price, you can set the extra price as a fixed rate.
Example: Hot stone bath for 1 person at ¥1,000 (tax included), Anniversary dessert plate for 1 plate at ¥2,000.

The "Future price with tax per unit" can be used when the consumption tax rate increases or when there are changes in the tax rate.
You can also use this for changes in the future extra prices.
Example: From January 1, 2026, the price will be ¥2,750 (tax included); until then, it will be ¥2,200 (tax included).

Inventory Management

Choose "Unlimited" if there are no restrictions.
Select "Daily Inventory" for day-specific stock management.

Warning
If daily inventory is enabled, it cannot be switched to hourly inventory management.
The extra inventory management screen will not be displayed unless there is at least one extra selected with daily inventory.

Optional Extra Additional Setting

By checking "Set time options" and entering the time, you can specify the time for that option. This is used for options that have time slots, such as a hot stone bath.

Include check out date

You can choose whether the extras can be used on the checkout day.
For example, if you include the anniversary cake option on the checkout day, you will be able to arrange the anniversary cake even after checkout.

You can arrange the cake on the checkout day, 12/31.


The cake can only be arranged on the check-in date.


Taking the example of the stone bath, if the checkout time is 10:00, the stone bath could be used after checkout.
If it's okay to use it after checkout, there's no issue.
However, if it's not allowed after checkout, be sure to uncheck this option and exclude the checkout date.

Cancellation Policy  

You can set the cancellation policy in the same way as the one applied to the plan.  
You can apply the same policy as the plan or create and apply a cancellation policy specifically for the extra.

Reserve Limit:

You can set the minimum and maximum selectable numbers for extras per plan.
For example, with a room for two people for a hot stone bath, setting the maximum selectable number to 2 per plan will prevent more than two people from being selected.

Offer period:

You can set the start and end dates for the sale of extras.

Booking deadline

You can set the closing date and time for the sale of extras.


Target conditions

Target users
If you select "All users," the extra will be displayed to all guests.
By choosing "Select membership Program" and selecting a specific membership or corporate membership program, the extra can be displayed only to the members of the selected membership program.

Target plans

Select the accommodation plans for which the Extra will be available.
The Extra will only be displayed on the "Guest details" if a plan with a checkmark is selected.


Children's Meals as extras.

Warning
This feature applies when:
  1. Not using TL-Lincoln.
  2. "Users specify the number of kids by the following tiers and select meal as extras." is selected in "Kids Settings".

You can sell kid's meals and bedding as extras.
Go to
Settings → Booking engine → Kids Settings → Search and reservation for kids, select "Users specify the number of kids by the following tiers and select meal as extras.", and save the settings.



This will display a dropdown menu for the **Extra type** in the Extras Management screen.


Alert*For Nettapan and Raku-2, the presence of meals or bedding is linked as extras.
*When using
Temairazu, selecting meal extras for children is possible, but it will be linked in the same way as reservations that include meals in the child settings.

By using the "Discount specified percent from the adult charge" you can set the price for meals or bedding for infants as a percentage (%) of the adult accommodation rate.
*Only one such setting can be configured.

If the adult accommodation fee is 12,000 yen per person, the option fee will be 6,000 yen per person, as it is 50% of the adult rate.



Delete Extras



When you click the delete button at the bottom of the screen, a pop-up like the image below will appear.
Please confirm and proceed with the deletion.



WarningIf there is a reservation history for the extra, it cannot be deleted.
To make the extra private, turn off the "Publish to tripla Book" at the top of the screen.
If you delete the extra, the information about the deleted extra will no longer appear in the reservation details on the management screen for reservations that have already been made.
Do not delete the extra until the stay with the reservation including the extra has been completed. Instead, please turn off the "Publish to tripla Book" extra for use.



When turning it off, a popup like the one below will appear.



Notes

  1. Extras must always have a "date" specified when making a reservation. This is a specification of TL-Lincoln, as the concept of "timing of use" is required, such as when to order a meal or what date to use a rental service.
  2. Once a reservation is confirmed, extras cannot be added, deleted, or changed individually. However, if the "reservation change policy" is enabled, additions, deletions, or changes can be made in alignment with changes in room plans or dates during a reservation modification. *No cancellation fees apply when changing the reservation, and cancellation fees will only be applied if the reservation is fully canceled.
  3. In the case of TL-Lincoln, prices are not real-time but use the prices obtained in advance from TL-Lincoln. If the price needs to be changed and immediately reflected on the Booking widget, manual synchronization is required.
  4. When using TL-Lincoln, data and setup are imported from the site controller, so the settings for turning extras on or off, as well as the target plans, cannot be changed.
  5. Changing the display order of extras (reordering) is not possible.
