Reservation Security Settings

Here is an explanation of how to configure the Reservation Security settings.

By default, this setting is turned ON, and the system always validates the bypass token included in the request when a guest accesses, updates, or cancels a reservation.

If you are using a custom UI, turning this setting OFF allows you to call the following APIs without requiring a bypass token: show, receipt, update, guests, and cancel.

To configure this setting, go to [Reservation Engine Settings] → [Reservation Security].

When the setting is OFF, the bypass token is not verified. Instead, guests can access their reservation using only their email address and reservation number.

Note: The reservation confirmation email always includes a link with a bypass token, regardless of whether the Reservation Security setting is ON or OFF.
